GPS lingerie outrage

The “find me if you can” range of underwear has been described as a modern-day, high-tech chastity belt.
“It is outrageous to think that men can buy this, programme it and give it to their partners and then monitor them,” said Claudia Burghart, leader of a Berlin feminist group. “It is nothing more than a chastity belt for insecure men.”
What possible valid use does this garment have? One presumes a woman wears lingerie while with her lover, so why would he have to look for her? However, a couple of dangerous uses comes to mind. Why use the inspid term “insecure”? Let’s be frank. This is the perfect garment for violent men wanting to control women.
Lingerie maker Lucia Lorio of Brazil says her design targets the “modern, techno-savvy woman….This collection…is a wink to women and a challenge to men because, even if she gives him the password to her GPS, she can always turn it off.”
Unless she doesn’t know it is there. If he buys it and doesn’t tell her, he’s in control. Violent men will not hesitate to use this as a weapon against their battered spouses and girlfriends. Women wanting to flee to a safe house might pack this along with the rest of their clothing, not realizing their every move is being tracked.
The lingerie combination set consists of lace bodice, bikini bottom and faux pearl collar, with the GPS device nestled in the see-through part of the bodice next to the waist. “It’s not a modern chastity belt. Some men think they can keep tabs on their girlfriends with it, but they’re wrong,”
‘Some women are now interested in buying it for protection,’ she said, programming it for partners themselves so they are safe on a night out alone. In London, New York, Rio de Janiero – wherever there is danger, the underwear may prove to be a lifesaver,”
Who wears lingerie on the street, especially a see-through top? How would a partner knowing their location stop a criminal? Does it alert the rapist he’s being tracked? Does it alert the partner she’s being murdered? There are cheaper alternatives that would be far more effective: mace, pepper spray, cell phones, stun guns, even real guns.
….feminists in her homeland have called her a modern-day slaver and urged women to boycott the GPS underwear.
With sexual slavery on the rise across the globe, including in the U.S., the term “modern-day slaver” is more than an abstract. Sexual slavery is a multi-billion dollar industry, enslaving millions of women and children. These criminals will love this lingerie and use it to keep track of their unwilling victims. The hefty price tag — $800 – $1100 — won’t deter them. They’ll consider it a wise investment.
Maybe that’s what Lorio is counting on. She can protest her innocence while reaping millions.

That is a good point, it could be a device used to control and confine for abuse. If I had to deal with a stalker or abuser who was using GPS tracking, I would be tempted to get on a cruise ship and make him swim for it, or leave it somewhere in a notoriously dangerous neighborhood or even sit with a police officer in a hotel room.
The only other use it could have would be “catch me if you can” sex game for the wealthy!
I’m looking at it from an erotic point of view. How fun would it be to wear these panties and have your husband pop out unexpectedly and have great spontaneous sex? Sounds like fun to me!
Kudos to MetalMomma, I was thinking the same thing, but bringing up the abusive husband… ARGH that is pretty scary… makes me want to check my lingerie LMAO
I think that some men have too much time on their hands to worry about their women being with other men. If you are that paranoid about it, then there is probably some reason that you are paranoid, like your paranoia is driving her away HELLO women like to be loved, not caged and smothered. YIKES!!!
Thankfully I wear sweats to bed… and my man likes it just the way I am LOL
